This year I, like millions of Americans, resolve to eat better and exercise regularly. Having a baby causes your body to change completely. Things are in different places and areas are stretched out. It's not pretty. My darling husband insists he doesn't care. "There is more of you to love," he says. It's not about losing the baby weight, it's about being healthier and feeling better.
Who am I kidding. It's about losing the baby weight and fitting into those Express jeans I love.
I have armed myself with the following resources in an effort to slim down safely.
Babyfit - This website had several great tools. My favorite is the Nutrition Tracker. It can provide meal plans or you can enter your own meals. It tracks calories, fat, fiber, carbs, and protein, among other things. It's excellent because it customizes your nutritional goals based on whether you are breastfeeding or formula feeding.
Wii Fit - I love that I can work out with my Wii for 15 minutes or 50. The variety of activities keeps it interesting.
A purple waterbottle - To help track my water intake, which is important when breastfeeding. Also, it's purple!
