In honor of Rania's 1/2 birthday (more on that later today), I'm holding my first ever bloggy contest. The prize you ask? My darling daughter!

One of my favorite birthday party memories is something my mom did for me at a party one year. Instead of baking a cake, she made hot air balloons-- you tie a blown-up balloon to a straw, stick it in a cupcake, and tie ribbon around from the bottom up around the balloon so it stands up. Tada! Hot air balloon! :) I felt like the coolest kid on the block.

Cookies! I'm on a diet but oh well :) My favorite birthday memories are the cakes. Even now when there are such fancy schmancy cakes out there- I am a sucker for a publix sheet cake because it brings me back to the birthdays of my childhood!

yummy! I have soo many favorite birthday memories, but one of my favorite favorite ones is when I was 4, my parents did my whole birthday party in my favorite color PURPLE! It was amazing and I still remember it to this day!
