I'm finally getting around to posting about Rania's first birthday party. Running after my one year old keeps my pretty busy these days. I can't believe she's actually one!
Since there isn't much commercially available for this fun theme, the decor was mostly handmade. I found great ideas for her "Alice in One-derland" party all over the internet. It took me months to plan and make everything. I did however have several amazing helpers, including my hubby, my friend Kristan and her husband Sami, and my parents. Kristan made several gorgeous items for the party, including the adorable paper mache mushroom and tiny tea cups. My favorite decoration of the day was a tie between the mushroom and the birthday banner.
I kept the party low key, since most of the attendees were young. We played and blew bubbles. Families took pictures with the funny props on a rose tree background. Oh yea.... and Rania cried. The entire time. I suppose she figured "
