My favorite Pakistani things

We returned from our trip a few days ago. I'm still drowning in dirty laundry and gifts. We had an amazing, whirlwind vacation, but it's great to be home. Some of the things I do miss are:

1. Family - In NY, we live quite far away from any extended family. In Pakistan, we were constandly surrounded by cousins, nieces and nephews, aunts and uncles. Everyone was thrilled to meet Rania and see us after so long.

2. Lays Masala - Spicy, greasy, yummy. Why aren't these available in the States?

3. Truck art - This whimsical, colorful art form elevates the humdrum, everyday freight truck to new heights. Truck art is not a nouveau art movement. It began simply in the 1940's, as way for a transportation companies to attract more customers. It continues to bring a touch of whimsy to the everyday.

4. Papasallis - This restaurant combines two of my favorite things: chicken tikka and pizza. What more can you want?
